T-shirt printing prices: what affects the final cost?

There is no single price for every custom T-shirt because the garment and production requirements vary. Understanding the main cost factors makes quotes and product prices easier to compare.

The garment itself

Fabric composition, weight, cut, brand and colour can change the base cost. Premium or special-purpose garments naturally cost more than basic T-shirts.

Quantity

One-off custom shirts and larger batches have different production economics. Setup, handling and production time can be spread across more pieces in a larger order.

Print size and placement

A small chest logo and a large front or back print use different amounts of material and production time. Multiple print locations also affect the total.

Printing technology

DTG, DTF and other decoration methods have different workflows and material costs. The best option should be selected for the garment and artwork, not only by headline price.

Artwork preparation and extras

Image correction, background removal, priority production, special checking or other optional services can affect the final amount. Always compare what is included, not just the lowest number.
